This high quality ABY footswitch with passive switcher allows you to plug a single guitar into two amplifiers or plug two guitars into a single amplifier, making it easy and convenient to create a rig with eminent flexibility and a variety of tone options.

When plugging a guitar into two amplifiers, you can select to play through either individual amplifier (AB) or both amplifiers (Y)

This gives you so much more flexability and is great to give you a much bigger sound when playing as a single guitarist in a band - ideas include:

  • Playing through a amplifier with an overdriven sound and another amplifier with a crunchy/clean/acoustic sound to give definition in your sound (The Who used to mix an acoustic guitar in with the overdriven guitar to give a much more dynamic sound)
  • Using one amp because you love the clean sound you get from it and a second amp for the overdrive channel (or using wildly different EQ settings)
  • Running two guitars into one amplifier allowing an occasional second guitar play without carrying two rigs
